New Student Orientation

Welcome to Linfield University! 

To help you get off to a successful start, we have planned a New Student Orientation program that will provide opportunities to:

  • Create relationships with faculty, staff, and fellow students to be engaged in a meaningful way.
  • Achieve an introductory understanding of the academic expectations and responsibilities of your major.
  • Distinguish campus programs, services, and resources that are available to assist in your academic, personal, and social success.
  • Identify avenues in which to demonstrate the value of personal engagement, cultural competence, and active citizenship through participation in student leadership roles, clubs and organizations, community service projects, campus diversity programs and civic engagement opportunities.

New students will be automatically enrolled into the Peer Resource Network, a valuable mentoring program for new students as they transition to our campus!

Upcoming New Student Orientation Dates

 

Fall '22 Start 

Fall '22 Orientation will be delivered in two formats. Students will have access to the New Student Orientation course in Blackboard about 1 week prior to the start of classes. There will be an in-person session on Friday, August 26th.  Please refer to your email for more information.

Fall '22 Orientation Schedule

 

Summer '22 Start 

Summer '22 Orientation will be delivered in two formats. Students will have access to the New Student Orientation course in Blackboard starting June 10. There will be an all day in-person session on Friday, June 17th.  Please refer to your email for more information.

Summer '22 Orientation Schedule 

Spring '22 Start

Spring '22 Orientation will be delivered in two formats.  Students will have access to the New Student Orientation course in Blackboard January 28th through February 13th. There will be an in-person session on Friday, February 4th. Please refer to your email for more information.
