Welcome to Academic Advising
Academic Advising at Linfield University is a teaching and learning process that empowers students to develop and realize their personal, academic, and professional goals. Through meaningful collaborations with advisors, students make sound educational decisions that are consistent with their life goals and objectives, build a sense of responsibility, develop critical thinking, and become lifelong learners.
Advising Structure and Resources
Academic Advising at Linfield is centrally coordinated through the Advising office, where a team of professional staff advisors and peer student advising specialists support students and faculty advisors.
Role of Faculty and Professional Advisors
Advisors partner with students to set and achieve academic goals, acquire relevant information and resources, and make intentional decisions consistent with the student’s interests, goals, strengths, and degree requirements.
