International Peer Mentor Program

The International Peer Mentor Program is a program where current Linfield students act as guides and connectors for incoming international students. Mentors help students learn about their new environment, prepare for their time at Linfield and adjust to the new settings. International Peer Mentors are provided training to help them refine their intercultural communication and leadership skills as part of this program.

Recruitment for the 2024-2025 academic year will begin in Spring 2024. If you are interested in being a peer mentor in 2024-2025 feel free to email Megan Moonfall at mmoonfall@linfield.edu

Program Requirements

  • Connect with incoming international students prior to arrival
  • Attend International Peer Mentor Trainings 
  • Be on campus prior to orientation to assist with international student move-in and pre-orientation. 
  • Maintain regular contact with mentees throughout the first term to ensure smooth transition and support during adjustment period.
