Wildcat Internship successes

Jordan Keller

Jordan Keller is a Literature & Education double major. Exploring different styles of writing motivated Jordan Keller to seek an internship as an editor with The Borgen Project. She worked closely with writers to provide feedback on articles prior to publishing. Her work with English faculty at Linfield prepared her to succeed in this internship and she feels well equipped to edit and share feedback with her students as a middle school English teacher.


Jrae Viela

Jrae Viela, and Education and Psychology double major spent her summer working with kids at Early Head Start in Maui. She left her internship each day feeling fulfilled, knowing she was making a direct impact on the kids in the program. Her favorite part was being with the children all day. Child development and education courses at Linfield prepared her for this internship. She wants to start her career here!


Mihretabe Gizaw

Mihretabe Gizaw, an International Relations major, completed two internships concurrently in Ethiopia which influenced his career trajectory. Networking with prominent people in healthcare opened doors and inspired him to create a proposal to build a new hospital. These internships also influenced the courses Mihretabe registered for during his senior year to make him a more diverse and qualified candidate for jobs.


Daniel Schuhmann

Through this internship, Psychology major Daniel Schuhmann explored sports psychology through football. He coached summer ball at Crescenta Valley High School in California working individually with athletes to elevate their game. Coursework in education, psychology and exercise science all contributed to his success. His main focus was encouraging athletes to work hard for the better of the entire team.
