Programs Exclusively for Linfield Students

Linfield University Community Internships sponsored by First Federal - Five local, non-profit internship sites have been selected to host Linfield University students this summer.

  • Give A Little Foundation: Senior Programs Intern 

  • Habitat for Humanity: Video Storytelling Intern 

  • Outdoor Education Adventures: Science Educator Intern

  • Unidos Bridging Community: Community Health Intern 

  • Mac Parks & Recreation: Community Engagement Specialist 

Selected students will receive a stipend and participate in a summer internship leadership program hosted by Career Development. The application deadline is March 6, 2023.

Deborah Olsen Public Service Internship Scholarship for Linfield University Students - Provides a stipend for a Linfield student from the McMinnville Campus to pursue an unpaid or very modestly paid summer internship with a government or non-profit organization either in the U.S. or internationally. The internship aims to enhance a student's work in writing, the visual arts, performing arts, or for nationally competitive scholarships and fellowships. The selected student will participate in a summer internship leadership program hosted by Career Development. Linfield University Impact Internship Stipend Program - Limited scholarship stipends are available for Linfield students as they complete an unpaid or modestly paid internship. Career Development wants to support students who find opportunities to apply their coursework or explore a professional field of interest. Selected students will participate in a summer internship leadership program hosted by Career Development. Contact the Career Development office to request an application. Deadline is May 10,2023.

Linfield University Presidential Impact Internship Program - This program is for stellar students who want to dig a little deeper - through mentoring and guided activities as they establish professional connections and complete internships during their remaining three and a half years at Linfield. First-year students apply and five students are selected annually to participate. The application deadline is March 1, 2023.


Inclusive Internship Programs

INROADS - Strives to develop and connect talented underserved youth to internships to prepare them for corporate and community leadership. INROADS is the nation's largest non-profit source of paid internships for diverse, high-performing, undergraduate students. Companies that value diversity as an essential component of good business partner with INROADS to develop diverse managerial talent to fuel their businesses both today, as well as, in the future. Multnomah County Diversity Internships: College to County (C2C) - The College to County Mentorship Program provides college students of underrepresented communities with internships at Multnomah County. The goal of the program is to expose participants from diverse backgrounds to various county careers so they will consider Multnomah County for employment once they graduate. This is a 12-week paid summer experience in many areas of county governance. Students of all grade levels are encouraged to apply. Applications open in March; deadline is April 2, 2023. The McMinnville WORKS Internship Program - Connects local businesses and organizations to talented young collegiate professionals through project-based internship opportunities.
