Wildcat Events Board Leaders

The Wildcat Events Board, known as WEB, seeks individuals who are motivated to become more involved in the student activities at Linfield. These individuals have a strong desire to provide the Linfield community with a wide variety of events that will leave a positive impact on the students throughout the year. In addition to this, WEB members possess a certain sense of creativity (unique to each individual) and critical-thinking skills.

The 2021-2022 WEB leaders are planning to spread the word about the purpose of WEB through their events. Each member is planning to broaden the horizons of their prospective chair and appeal to a wider audience of individuals. Ultimately, WEB hopes to continue to provide high-quality student events and entertainment on and off campus.

Faith is the official head of the Wildcat Events Board and is in charge of hiring and training the WEB leaders. It's Faith's responsibility to supervise a variety of fun, recreational, entertaining, and educational events and programs that foster community building for Linfield students. Faith has final and full responsibility of all events planned by WEB, which includes heading the planning of Welcome Week, Homecoming, and Wildstock.

Ellie Friedrichsen

Ellie is responsible for liaising all publicity needs to the Associated Students Publicity Director. Ellie is also in charge of ordering WEB merchandise, taking minutes at WEB meetings, and serves as Faith's proxy at any engagements where Faith may not be able to be present.

Derek Tripp
Sound Manager

Derek manages the WEB Sound Team by hiring and scheduling student sound technicians, holding monthly meetings and communicating sound needs with WEB chairs. The WEB Sound Team runs all audio needs for student activities on campus and is completely student owned and operated.

Alaina Clark
Special Events Chair

Alaina is responsible for planning all special events on behalf of WEB. Special events may include comedians, magicians, hypnotists, musicians, and other performance talent. 

Thanya Gutierrez
Sports and Recreation Chair

Friday: 1:00 - 3:00 PM

Thanya is responsible for planning sporting events on and off campus. This may include trips to Portland Trail Blazers games, Portland Timbers games, Portland Thorns games, Top Golf trips, on-campus non-intramural tournaments such as 3v3 basketball, game watch parties, and other athletic-centered events. Thanya also  is responsible for planning all recreation and outdoor events on behalf of WEB. This may include off-campus hikes, white water rafting trips, indoor skydiving, and other outdoor activities.
