Linfield Ahead

Linfield University’s primary method to communicate internally is its e-newsletter, Linfield Ahead. The newsletter is sent to all staff, faculty and students every Monday and Thursday through the Office of Strategic Communications. Linfield Ahead provides news of university interest in the following categories:

  • News and campus updates: important information to keep the university community updated about policy changes, student services, job searches, conferences, deadlines, reminders, campus services, etc., submitted on behalf of university departments, organizations and clubs
  • Accolades: appointments, awards, books published, etc. received by Linfield University faculty, students and staff
  • Events: upcoming events sponsored by the university, campus departments, schools and organizations. These should also be submitted via 25Live to the university calendars. 

Linfield Ahead replaces Wildcat Weekly, Linfield Reports, other internal newsletters, as well as individual mass emails.

Linfield Ahead Archive

PDF versions of Linfield Ahead are available on the archive page. While emails received by students, faculty and staff have content directly targeted to them, the PDF archive contains the full list of announcements and events in each edition.


Submission Guidelines

All submissions are subject to editing for space, style and policy requirements. Items may be scheduled to run later and/or run multiple times at the discretion of the Office of Strategic Communications staff.

All announcements must be submitted at least three business days prior to desired publishing date.

  • Submissions for Monday newsletters must be submitted by 11:59 p.m. on Tuesday
  • Submissions for Thursday newsletters must be submitted by 11:59 p.m. on Sunday

Linfield Ahead is not meant for personal announcements and solicitations. Only content that is of general university interest and meant to inform or engage the student body, faculty and/or staff should be submitted to Linfield Ahead. Events and announcements that violate Linfield policies will not be included.



Event Submissions

Event submissions and room requests are done via 25Live. This includes virtual or online events. Once approved, the event will appear in the calendar of events. Events are included in Linfield Ahead at the discretion of the editor.
