Fall 2022 dos and don'ts

Two people talking in Starbucks, one with a face mask onAs a new year begins, here is a helpful list of dos and don'ts related to managing COVID-19:

DO pay attention to your health. Here is a helpful checklist of what to notice.

DON'T come to class or work if you are feeling unwell. Please stay home.

DO notify the right department if you test positive for COVID-19. Employees contact the Office of Human Resources, McMinnville students contact the Student Health, Wellness and Counseling Center (SHWCC) and Portland students contact Student Life.

DON'T forget to wash your hands frequently, including after touching frequently touched surfaces, after you've touched your face or before you are about to eat.

DO wear a mask inside healthcare facilities like the SHWCC or the athletic training room.

But ...

DON'T assume someone has COVID-19 or isn't vaccinated because they wear a face covering. Just like wearing hats in the sun to avoid getting burned, people are going to wear or not wear face coverings at their comfort level.

DO visit the COVID-19 webpage to learn more about Linfield policies or read the FAQs.

DON'T hesitate to seek help if you are feeling anxiety or stress about COVID-19. See the Mental Health and Wellness section of the FAQs.

DO get vaccinated and boosted per your recommended vaccination schedule. Vaccination remains the best way to protect yourself and your community against COVID-19 and its variants.

And ... most importantly ...

DON'T let COVID-19 stop you from having a great year at Linfield. Be safe and responsible. Follow health and safety recommendations. And, have a wonderful year.
