Managing Zoom Recordings
Zoom’s cloud recordings feature is convenient, but due to limited storage capacity isn’t a good solution for long-term saving of Zoom recordings. For long term storage, you have several options depending on what the recording is being used for and if it contains any sensitive information. If you aren’t sure what information is considered sensitive, be sure to check out the Data Governance section of the Linfield Website. Click here for more information on Data Governance.
Where to Save Recordings
Kaltura
For videos related to classes that need to be shared with students in Blackboard, Kaltura is going to be your best option. Click here for more information on Kaltura.
Office 365
For recordings that have sensitive (but not confidential) information and need to be shared with colleagues, Office 365 storage such as OneDrive, SharePoint, and Teams is a good option. Click here for more information on Office 365.
Winfiles/Pyramid
If the recording contains confidential information, you’ll want to store it in Winfiles (McMinnville Campus) or Pyramid (Portland Campus).
